We spent the weekend unfurling the campervan, drying out all the flys, the awning, canvas, mattresses, mattress protectors in the glorious spring sunshine, after a few days at Inverloch where we were rained on, hailed on, blown away, and rained on again.
It gave us time to reflect that when we go away with the campervan, we can almost guarantee that there will be rain, and that it will definately happen on the last night of our trip, just before we have to pack everything up. Gives us a chance to revisit the holiday when we get home.
Most of Australia is in the grip of a lengthy drought at the moment. It occurred to us that perhaps Gary and I should start a business - Drought Busters Inc. Our motto could be something like: When you're gripped by a drought give the Heaslips a shout!
